Happy New Year everyone! So excited to be back…and in black. While you can never go wrong wearing all black, making a head to toe all-black look not gloomy, can be tricky. With a few simple additions, you can definitely take your look to the next level. Think about mixing luxe textures and materials, like leathers & velvet, with furry coats. I love this black fur parka because of the unexpected pop of orange and the little hint of red on the arm. All you need now is a classic pair of boots and of course, the perfect pair of black denim. Finding THE pair of black denim takes time. I look for a high waisted-fit, because they instantly elongate the leg. I also look for a small leg opening, so they hug the ankle and can work with a Chelsea boot, ankle boot and even an OTK boot.
The High Rise Skinnys from Mott & Bow definitely took these key features, that I look for in a pair of denim, and created a fit that is absolutely on point. The denim used to create the High Rise Skinny, makes these jeans fit like a glove. There is just the right amount of stretch, without compromising the texture and look of the black denim. It is hard to find a pair of black JEANS, that do not look like you are wearing black leggings. But, Mott & Bow nailed it. Oh and did I mention that this luxury denim is sold at a very reasonable price point as well? Now that is something you just cannot beat. I swear by finding a great pair of black jeans, because they truly are one of the most versatile and flattering staples you can have in your closet.
